WELCOME TO

METAMORPHOSIS

CEREMONY DATES:  September 20-22nd

This sacred celebration spans 2.5 days and is dedicated to honoring the archetypal transitions of womanhood from Maiden to Mother* to Matriarch*.

This "Metamorphosis" combines a rich tapestry of practices and rituals rooted in holistic trauma-informed healing, somatic psychotherapy, expressive arts therapy, and spiritual practice.

The arc of this experiential journey is intentionally designed for adult women and femmes of color at all ages and stages to honor the milestones of our sacred journey in womanhood.

The experience is meant to support us to claim our power, deepen in sisterhood, and rise into our collective radiance.

This is an intimate container of deep support and attention for each participant, thus, we have a limited number of spots available.

Artist: Tamara Adams

What are the Maiden, Mother, and Matriarch archetypes?

We see these archetypes as universal, fluid and not based on age. You could be a “Matriarch” in a leadership role or a “Maiden” in a new relationship. You could be experiencing all three simultaneously or be very clear about one transition you’re making.

Maiden is a time of youthfulness and adventure, coming into one’s sexuality, sensuality, and zest for life. This stage includes exploring your identity, your relationship to the world and your sense of independence.

Mother is a blooming of the mature feminine and Creatrix (not explicitly motherhood). This stage is about presence, nurturing, holding and tending. It includes cultivating a compassionate inner mother and healing maternal wounds personal and communal.

Matriarch is about rising into one’s leadership of a family, community, team, or project by virtue of their wisdom and maturity. The Matriarch is about taking dominion and ownership over one’s life and extending that fortitude to lead others as well.

“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”

~ Maya Angelou

This ceremony is for you if …

» You’re shedding skins and moving out of the innocence, insecurity and immaturity of the Maiden

» You're being called to step up into a new stage of maturity, self-security and inner mothering

» You’re ready to unapologetically own your voice, speak your truth and take the lead as the Matriarch of your life

» You’re tired of feeling isolated in your healing and seeking spiritually-rooted sisterhood and siblinghood

» You’re exhausted by all the demands that life brings and ready to release and be held in community

» You’re moving through grief and don’t want to feel alone as you embark on this next stage of your journey

» You’re aligning internally and looking to sharing your gifts in ways that are more creative, purposeful and soulful

» You devote a lot of energy to others and want to create space to honor your path in an intentional and sacred way

» You’re being ushered across the threshold of initiation and seeking guidance and support from the Divine Feminine

What is a rite of passage ceremony?

For centuries in cultures around the world, rite of passage ceremonies have been co-created to celebrate a person's transition from one life stage to another.

Due to colonization, racism, patriarchy, and other forms of oppression and harm, many of our cultural rituals have been lost or displaced.

The Metamorphosis Ceremony is an offering of reclamation as we reclaim some of those traditions and self-initiate ourselves into the next evolution of our collective awakening.

We have designed this ceremony for adult women and femmes of color navigating change at all ages and stages of life.

Over the course of our three day ceremony you will:

Deepen your healing journey, connect to your inner knowing, and expand your capacity to to give and receive fully.

Deepen your healing journey, honor yourself unconditionally, and celebrate every step you’ve taken on your journey of becoming.

Move towards becoming the leader, lover, mother, parent, daughter, sister, sibling, partner and friend you are meant to be.

Learn to embody each stage of womanhood, becoming the leader, lover, mother, parent, daughter, sister, sibling, partner and friend you are born to be.

Decolonize love and discover tools and pathways for practicing self love, navigating all your relations, and accessing the divine.

Discover creative tools, embodiment practices, and new frameworks for self reflection, self celebration, and accessing the divine feminine within.

Rest and play in a community of women and femmes of color also on their paths of love, liberation, radical joy, and self healing.

Rest and play in a community of women and femmes of color also on their paths self love, liberation, transformation and metamorphosis.

Metamorphosis Ceremony Flow

During our three day ceremony, we will be embraced by the elements as we deeper into our healing, expand in our expression and ultimately cross the threshold of initiation to new ways of being.

  • Friday, September 20, The Source Berkeley from 5-9pm PST

  • Saturday, September 21, The Source Berkeley from 10-8pm PST

  • Sunday, September 22, Joaquin Miller Forest in Oakland from 11-7pm PST

DAY 1

Opening Ceremony at Sunset

As the sun begins its descent, casting a warm golden glow, our ceremony will commence. Starting with an opening circle, we will open the four directions and activate the elements. Through a collective burn ritual we will release what no longer serves and pray into our highest intentions for the next phase of our evolution.

Sacred Womb Water Ritual

Connecting to the healing power of water, we will honor the sacredness of the womb and its profound connection to the cycles of life, creation, and the natural elements. Together, we will co-create a nurturing and loving space to hold us in our journey ahead.

DAY 2

Divine Feminine Altar Co-creation

Honoring and celebrating the diverse expressions of the Divine Feminine through the mothers, matriarchs, crones, goddesses, and deities that hold meaning for each of us. Together, we will evoke their spirits and pay homage to the ancestors, teachers and guide.

Intro to Maiden, Mother, Matriarch Framework

Exploring these archetypal energies, the Maiden, Mother, Matriarch framework provides a powerful lens for self-reflection and personal growth. Normalizing this process of transformation allows us to embrace and navigate the unique gifts and challenges each stage brings. Feeling into the essence of each phase allows us to blossom without fear.

*Note that these are universal archetypes. When we say Mother, that includes internal mothering, healing the mother wounds, mothering creative projects and the mature feminine etc. It is not specifically about the journey of parenthood/motherhood.

Archetypal Dance & Embodiment

Together, we will tap into the inspiration and energy of the Maiden, Mother, and Matriarch archetypes through intentional and expressive dance! Exploring the unique qualities and characteristics of each, and embracing their transformative potential through our bodies.

Archetypal Adornment with Flower Crowns

Exploring our inner archetypes and expressing our creativity by adorning ourselves with intention, we honor the Maiden, Mother, Matriarch within. Playful, sensual, and in harmony with the natural world, we will design unique and personalized floral crowns to wear to our initiation ceremony.

DAY 3

Nature Altar Co-creation

Gathering in reverence for the natural world and the wisdom of our elders, this collaborative experience honors Mother Earth, our ancestors, and the interconnectedness of all living beings. Through this blessing we will tap into the story of humanity that spans generations.

Triple Goddess Peer Coaching

Through this triadic coaching process, we will prepare our individual sacred offering / creative expression (a dance, poetry, story, art piece etc). Each person will have an opportunity to receive guidance and support, helping clarify her vision, and refine her sacred offering or creative expression to share with the larger group.

Soul Styling & Adornment Photography

Combining the art of styling and personal adornment with the power of photography to capture the essence of your soul's expression. This session is designed to celebrate your authentic self, explore your inner Goddess, and express your unique beauty outwardly.

“Crossing the Threshold” Rite of Passage Ceremony

Marking our individual and collective metamorphosis, this ceremony honors the significance of crossing a threshold and stepping into a new chapter. Whether it be a shedding of old skin, reaching the next stage in your journey of womanhood, or choosing a new way of being in the world, this ceremony is open as we witness one another in our latest evolution.

Closing Circle in the Oakland Redwoods

Bringing our beloved community journey to completion with intention, we will lift our appreciation to the heavens in reverence, love, and a deep sense of sisterhood. Together, we reflect on our individual journeys and celebrate through sacred song and dance!

What the SOUL Community is Saying:

“The Metamorphosis Ceremony gave me SO SO much, I would give it a 10/10. For one, it gave me a sense of sisterhood & a divine right/possibility to connect with my sisters. It was amazing to be in community with so many women and never feel a sense of competitiveness or othering. It really was a vibe. Since coming home, I’ve really enjoyed being able to notice how and when the archetypes we explored show up in my life. I’ve found more ways to integrate ritual into my daily life in ways that honor different aspects of wisdom & being. Musics and song have returned to my life in a big way after our collective singing! I’ve been making more time to connect, integrate lessons, and reach out to just be with others. You all did a phenomenal job of creating a space for spirit to show up and show out through each one of us. There was a great balance of learning and sharing that we all got to be a part of and it felt incredibly safe/supportive. Thank you!”

— Ayla Sellers

“10/10, loved it, powerful deep, inspiring, and exactly what i needed. We went on the journey together but I was also very deep in my own process and experience which filled my cup so I could face a very full year ahead. The experience was very unique and well facilitated. I loved everything especially the Triple Goddess Coaching. First night was very powerful. I loved the dancing on Day 2 and then Day 3 dressing up was the cherry on top. I’m so glad that I did this especially on my birthday, it was a risk to come by myself but it was life changing.”

— Keeisi Caballero

“Such a beautiful 3 day journey. I loved the idea of Soul Sisters groups with the triple goddess coaching. The rose ceremony at the beginning where we spoke to where we’ve been, where we are now and where we’re going, brought me to tears. I loved the soul styling and photoshoot on Day 3, being wined and dined like the divine beings we are. The affirmations you offered were exactly what I needed to step into that altar and crown myself accordingly. Overall it was a very positive and transformative weekend, I was raving about it to my friends, mom, aunts. Truly powerful experience.”

— Sanura Dewa

“I loved Metamorphosis! It was a 10/10, exquisite, so beautiful, so thoughtful in the details. I appreciated the spaciousness and simplicity, I learned a lot about facilitating and event curation. I loved the two day experience and the arc was so clear and it really felt whole and well rounded. Highlights for me were the group altar and the Triple Goddess Coaching. It was so rich and I see women benefitting so much from this. It was exactly what I needed to experience and had been calling in to step into my maturity, mother phase.”

— désirée freda

“I experienced a deep sense of communion with fellow femmes of culture, I loved seeing and sensing how each of us embodies each of the archetypes in surprising and wonderful ways. It opened the boundaries of identity in a way and introduced a kind of fluidity that is really lovely, and more true and accurate to life. The coordination and organization of the ceremony was really excellent and the container was very strong and beautiful. The flow from each element was cohesive and built upon each thing before it seamlessly, I loved the incorporation of song and music and movement. That there was space to be creative and not just lodged in words. I would give Metamorphosis a 10/10!”

~ Romona Mukherjee

“This experience truly made me feel like a goddess. I felt an energetic boost in self-love and confidence. I became more vocal in my wants and needs in relationships, and speaking my authentic truth more than ever before. Also, a new appreciation of sisterhood and the power of being surrounded by women. I also connected with my own femininity and womanhood in a new way, through my connection with other women. It was so powerful to connect with all these amazing BIPOC sisters whom I’ve come to love. ”

The pricing of Metamorphosis was calculated intentionally to offer you extreme value as a group program. If you have a gut-wrenching YES, do not let your "I can't" voice get the best of you. We believe in your ability to cultivate the necessary means to participate and honor your readiness. This is program is designed for 12-24 participants to keep the intimacy or the program and the accessibility to the guides abundant.

We hope so! We intend to host more offerings and ceremonies together. This is our introductory pricing as a community offering and the rate will likely change in future.

Do I need to be on the path of motherhood in order to participate in this ceremony?

Why Women & Femmes of Color? Will you be offering this to other communities too?

For this round, we intentionally chose to create a sacred container for women & femmes of color by women & femmes of color. While rite of passage ceremonies can be rare, rite of passage ceremonies explicitly designed for communities of color are even more rare. We hope to offer more mixed race spaces in the future.

I love this and can’t participate but want to now how I can support?
